The capital of Georgia (the country).
In connection with the recent military conflict between Georgia and Russia, why does all American television and radio news media unfailingly refer to Georgia’s capital as “Tiblisi?”
The capital is Tbilisi, not Tiblisi. T-b-i-l-i-s-i. Not T-i-b-l-i-s-i. That’s T’bi-li-si, not Tib-lee-see.

You have to remember, you live in a state where they purposefully mispronounce the word Cairo and Houston. Something with two consonants run together like that is right out.

Haha Thanks, I just learned something new.
And what is with this “human verification” thing?

Because WordPress is so prolific as a blog backend, spammers have devised scripts that toddle the web looking and post garbage automatically through WP’s form processors. Spam is probably the biggest problem with WordPress in a typical use case.
Having some means of defeating them that require the intervention of human subjectivity - such as a “captcha” (”type the letters you see in the image”) - is essential. This was my approach.
